While I can provide numerous examples of my cutting skills, I have found that letting my customers speak for me is more effective!

I would like to say that my Mandarin Garnet tie tack is a beautiful piece of jewelry.  I received it as a birthday present from my wife a couple of years ago.  It was cut and made by Jim Rentfrow.  He has created a truely wonderful piece of jewelry I will enjoy for years to come.

My Pyrope Garnet necklace I received as a Christmas present  is quite beautiful.  It was cut and made by Jim Rentfrow.  The setting is simple yet compliments the stone.  It goes well with anything in my wardrobe and I am consistantly getting compliements on how beautiful it is!

I have purchased many pieces of jewelry over the last five years from Jim.  Some of the gemstones were  a 16 carat pink tourmaline that was turned into a custom pendant, a matched pair of portuguese cut round peridots,and a 5.65 carat bubblegum pink portuguese round cut tourmaline.  I am always impressed with the quality of the cutting and the beauty of the gemstones Jim cuts for me.

I wanted a huge purple stone for for my wifes birthday present, Jim delivered a beautifully cut checkerboard amethyst.   He then was able to create a white gold ring and she still loves it today!

I purchased a 2.05 carat blue sapphire from Jim and had him set it in a white gold mounting surrounded by Diamonds.  My wife loved her present and I still go to Jim with all of my gemstone purchases.  His cutting is always good and his prices are fair.

I purchased a 2.70ct Purple Tourmaline and a 2.52ct sapphire from Jim, the main reason for purchasing the sapphire was the unusual colour, the tourmaline looked to be so nicely cut that I had that as well. Jim was very reasonable when we were negotiating a price and his communication was excellent, all in all a pleasure to deal with.

The stones arrived quickly, were well packaged and labelled, I was also impressed by the quality of the cut, a nice sparkle with no windows.

The cutting looks superb.  It is really interesting the different colour variations between stones, and the way their character changes in different lights.

Thanks Jim, I too wanted to get back with you. It is a beautiful stone and I know I won’t soon (ever!) be tired of it. In direct sun (like while driving) the stone becomes very washed out in color but all the silk and one larger rutile are clearly seen- I like seeing ‘natures work’ in a stone. My husband just rolls his eyes…
